Questions & Answers
Clear answers about lessons, pricing, scheduling, and how to begin.
Every learning journey begins with a conversation. Complete our intake form at kingcretot.com/intake-form (or the short inquiry on our Contact page) and we'll be in touch within 1–2 business days to schedule a free discovery call — a relaxed conversation where we listen to your goals and recommend the right path forward.
Yes. We offer a free 30-minute consultation, held via Zoom, to help your family decide whether KCE is the right fit. There's no obligation.
Children, adolescents, and adults. We serve K–12 students in public and private schools, homeschool families, and adult learners pursuing languages, professional skills, or personal growth — in Florida and around the world.
Most lessons are live, one-on-one on Zoom — anywhere in the world. In-person lessons are available in Southwest Florida (DeSoto County, Punta Gorda, and Port Charlotte) for a small premium; see each program's pricing page for details.
Absolutely. Lessons are delivered on Zoom and scheduled in your time zone. International families pay via PayPal.
Lessons are offered in 30-, 45-, 60-, and 90-minute formats depending on the program, with a cadence — weekly, twice weekly, or more — built around your goals.
Lessons are scheduled in advance through our online scheduling system or by direct arrangement with your instructor, confirmed in the time zone you provide at enrollment.
Lessons cancelled or rescheduled more than 24 hours in advance carry no charge — your lesson credit is preserved. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are counted as completed, though we make reasonable efforts to reschedule when circumstances allow. If a student doesn't join within 15 minutes of the start time without notice, the lesson is forfeited.
We'll give you as much notice as possible and offer alternative times. Lessons cancelled by KCE are never deducted from your package.
Yes — every lesson comes with written notes capturing what was covered: vocabulary, concepts, corrections, and practice prompts. Over time, the notes become a record of progress, lesson by lesson.
Per-lesson rates start at $35 for English, $40 for K-12 and Homeschool Tutoring, $60 for French, and $145 for Test Prep, depending on lesson length. Full rates are published on each program's pricing page.
Yes. Language programs offer Starter, Momentum, and Immersion packages with built-in savings. K-12 and Homeschool Tutoring offer cadence-based packages — Foundation (1×/week), Core Academic (2×/week), and Intensive (3×/week) — in half-year and full-year terms.
A half-year package is valid for 18 weeks; a full-year package is valid for 36 weeks. Unused lessons don't roll over beyond the package term unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Payment is made in advance of services and processed securely by Stripe; international families can pay via PayPal. For enrollments of $5,000 or more, we begin with a consultation and a personalized agreement rather than online checkout.
You may request a refund of unused package lessons within 30 days of the package start date. Refunds subtract lessons already used (at the standalone, non-package rate) and a $25 administrative fee. Requests after 30 days are reviewed case by case.
Homeschool Tutoring supports the curriculum you've already chosen — we reinforce, you direct. Homeschool Teaching & Enrichment is KCE-led instruction with planning and assessment, launching Spring 2027; the waitlist is open now.
Yes. Group Practice sessions give language students a relaxed space to use what they've learned — $45 drop-in or $160 monthly, and free for all enrolled one-on-one students. Small-group options are also available for Test Prep.
SAT, ACT, PSAT, school exams, and academic transitions — with diagnostic-driven strategy and packages timed to your test date.
Yes — KCE is an approved Step Up For Students provider for all four scholarship types: FES-EO, FES-UA, PEP, and FTC. Your scholarship pays KCE directly, so there's no out-of-pocket cost and nothing to file. Visit our Step Up page for how it works, fund reservation steps, and scholarship-specific FAQs.
One agreement, once: each family signs a Universal Enrollment & Consent Agreement covering every student in the household and every program for the academic year. It's signed electronically, and lessons begin as soon as it's complete.
Child-safety commitments are written directly into our enrollment agreement, and every KCE instructor completes background screening and child-safety review before working with any student.
